There are plenty of resources which teach you how to relieve stress and it is no suprise. The world is a very stressful place these days. Generally people are so busy they have little time for anything.

We are fatalities in a bizarre world. Think about it. We chase around hour after hour every day and we end up without any time. We are pressure cookers trying to let off steam because we are chasing around on a daily basis stressing about having enough stuff like cars and houses and other material things.

The second thing is to drink less caffeine and if you are a smoker to cut back, or better yet, quit smoking. Caffeine and Nicotine put a lot of stress on your body. Try to limit your intake where possible.

Let’s go through the 5 tips you can use to keep your body and mind stress free.

1. Exercise regularly
No matter what your definition of exercise is. You could go out for a jog or a brisk walk in the park or go to the gym and exercise there. Regular exercise is what is important and so is making sure you are relaxed while doing it. It is pointless to perform and exercise is you are not enjoying doing it.

2. Relaxation and meditation
I know it sounds easy to say just relax or chill out but most people don’t know how to. There is no need to know how to meditate or anything like that, you should just be able to get some time by yourself without being disturbed.

3. Go out and spoil yourself
Treating yourself doesn’t mean going out and buying a whole lot of stuff. It does mean doing something for yourself. You could just take the time to be by yourself without any interruptions or you could go treat yourself to a massage or a good book.

4. Video and board games
Games can be a great way to relieve stress. It may be best not to play with people who are too competitive though as the game could end up being even more stressful. There are some great free software games you can download off the internet that are great to help relieve stress

5. Get some decent sleep
Make sure you get enough rest. You can place tremendous stress on your body when sleeping patterns are interrupted. Resting means not constantly thinking and worrying. It may sound impossible but you can stop yourself from reacting to the thoughts that cause you to stress.

It is not necessary to do all of these from the word go but you should start with one and do it regularly until it becomes effective. Remember that whatever you choose to do should help you to relax. Start today.
